INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • Tomato sauce
  • 3 slices mozzarella
  • 4 basil leaves
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Dip:
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Oregano

  • METHOD:

    First make the dough.
Combine the butter and milk and microwave until melted.

Add yeast, sugar and salt (in that order) and mix well.
Finally, add the flour and mix until it comes together.

Transfer dough to a Ziploc bag and knead for 30 seconds.
Open the bag 2/3 of the way, and microwave for 30 seconds at 200 watts.

Cover dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm place.
After 30 minutes, gently punch the dough to let excess air out.

    Roll out the dough.
Cut bottom half of dough into strips, then braid the strips.

On the top half, spread tomato sauce, and top with mozzarella, bacon and basil leaves.

Roll dough, starting from the top down.
Shape into a ring by bringing the two ends together.
Brush with beaten egg and season with black pepper.

Bake for 30 minutes at 340 degrees.
While baking, combine dip ingredients in a small bowl.

Remove pizza bread from oven and serve with dip.
